At RDS, under the philosophy of “passing the Earth’s resources sustainably to future generations,” we regard recycling as our core mission to ensure the circulation and preservation of resource value.
To achieve this mission, we pursue sustainable management grounded in the three pillars of Environment (E), Social (S), and Governance (G).
ESGThrough our eco-friendly two-stage mid-to-low-temperature dry process technology, RDS has achieved over 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and more than 40% savings in energy consumption. We have also developed proprietary LFP recycling technology, completing pilot-scale validation at our Daejeon Central Research Institute, thereby advancing sustainable resource circulation. In 2024, a commercial demonstration plant with an annual capacity of 1,000 tons will be completed, with plans to expand capacity to 20,000 tons per year by 2026.
RDS continues to invest in operational innovation and automation systems with the goal of achieving zero byproduct emissions. We are strengthening R&D for LFP recycling and actively engaging in community contributions and philanthropic initiatives to fulfill our social responsibilities. In particular, we collaborate with the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea to promote “Good Workplace” donation campaigns, while supporting regional agriculture and welfare institutions through procurement of local produce and products from disability support facilities.
